Discord Joining Instructions
Welcome to the Ancestral Kitchen Podcast Discord Community – we can’t wait to visit with you!
We are using the application Discord as a virtual community for our supporters. Come join, chat and share with us.
You can use Discord on a Windows or Mac computer/laptop, an iOS device or an Android tablet/phone.
Why we love Discord: It’s free, it’s private (only people on our server can see you), you can customise the notifications, there’s no ‘feed’ like other social media apps so there are no distractions, you can use it on a browser or download an app.
Here’s how to set up Discord:
1/ First, register for a Discord account: https://discord.com/register. Important: Make note of your Discord user name, as you will need to give it to us later.
2/ Log into Discord in your browser or by downloading the app to your mobile.
3/ Join the Ancestral Kitchen Podcast server: click the large ‘+’ button on the left of the screen, a box will pop up: click ‘join a server’ and enter this url (https://discord.gg/bmcxr6tGhf) in the box under ‘invite link’. For screenshots of this process please click here.
4/ Go to this online form and let us know you’ve joined: https://emails.ancestralkitchenpodcast.com/set-discord-user
5/ You’ll receive an automated confirmation letting you know we’ve got your form. Hang tight – we need to do some manual jiggery-pokery now to set your access! Within 24 hours (or a bit longer if it’s the weekend or a holiday) you should receive a ‘success’ email that’ll also introduce you to how discord looks and works.
